Terror: The terror in Pakistan, Yemen, Afghanistan and Guantanamo. America’s war on terror using terror in the name of fighting terror.

Those who are more concerned with our deficit, than with the present inequality in wealth distribution.

I object to a culture of rape and believe that it just might be linked to the way that we represent women, especially in pornography, as objects verses as subjects, though I confess that the link is still unclear. I also confess that I treat women as objects for my own desirous consumption all to often, and thus I object to myself.

I object to Abercrombie & Fitch, but I’m not sure that using homeless people to do so is the best route. Maybe. At least they get some clothes I suppose.

I object to people thinking that they’re making a difference by buying a shitty pair of shoes for a ridiculous price.

(Me on my wedding day wearing a shitty pair of shoes that I bought at a ridiculous price while thinking I was making a difference.)

I object to Walmart.

I don’t object to this, this, or this. Though we should probably think a bit about the implications of the later.

I object to most of this:

america

I object to a president that I voted for (twice) continually eroding civil liberties and the freedom of the press–two key components to any functioning democracy.

I object to fundamentalism in all its forms.

Fundamentalism

I object to objecting and doing nothing else. I object to critique for critique’s sake, to keeping my hands clean for consciousness sake in a tangled, chaotic, and soiled world; to checking out due to indifference, carelessness, and cynicism, and thus I must not stop objecting to suicidal and narcissistic social, cultural, and political trajectories.

Any objections? Or, put a bit differently,
